  • Dad = ぱぱ(pa pa)
達磨
達磨

mom and dad is baby words in Japan. Thus,

  • mother = おかあさん(o ka a sa nn)
  • father = おとうさん(o to u sa nn)

Second one is … Emma calls herself…?

  • I = わたし(wa ta shi)

Ray calls himself…?

  • I = おれ(o re)
達磨
達磨

If you are a man, a man normally does not use it (わたし)when you speak. But, when you write a formal letter, everybody use わたし

a man calling myself.
– おれ(o re)
– ぼく(bo ku)

a lady calling myself.
– わたし(wa ta shi)

Third one is … Izabera ask you what did you do last night..? Emma answer is

  • Nothing = なにも(na ni mo)
達磨
達磨

Many Japanese use this words.

EX) What do you doing now?
→Nothing (なにも)

It is the same meaning.
なにもしてない。(na ni mo shi te na i)= I doing nothing.

SFromA Level 2

First, Emma

  • The delicious feed, the white clothes where dirt can easily stand out, the will-regulated life…
    おいしいえさ。よごれがめだつしろいふく、きそくただしいせいかつ。
    (o i shi i e sa. Yo go le ga me da tsu shi ro i hu ku, ki so ku ta da shi i se i ka tsu)
達磨
達磨

These are words that in the sentence.

  • delicious = おいしい (o i shi i)
  • feed = えさ(e sa)
  • white = しろ (shi ro)
  • clothe = ふく(hu ku)
  • dirt = よごれ (yo go le)

えさ(e sa) is using for pets. Can’t use to people.

おいしい(o i shi i) can use by this word.

Second, Try to remember Japanese number. Norman said…

  • “Another six-year-old. We’ve been shipping out normal quality ones.”
    また6さい。なみのしゅっかがつづいてる
    (ma ta ro ku sa i. na mi no syu kka ga tu du i te i ru)
達磨
達磨

You should remember Japanese number. It is easy!

1 = いち (i chi)
2 = にい(ni i)
3 = さん(sa nn)
4 = よん(yo nn)
5 = ご(go)
6 = ろく(ro ku)
7 = なな(na na)
8 = はち(ha ti)
9 = きゅう(kyu u)
10 = じゅう(Jyu u)

↑These are super basic Japanese number.
If you can remember that one, you can say every number because,,,

11 = じゅういち(jyu u i ti) = 1*10(Jyu u) + 1(i ti) = 11 (Jyu u i ti)
22 = にじゅうに (ni jyu u ni)= 2*10(ni jeu u) + 2 = 22(ni jeu u ni)
33 = さんじゅうさん(sa nn jyu u ni) = 3*10(sa nn jyu u) + 3(sa nn) =33 (sa nn jyu u sa nn)

100 = ひゃく(hya ku), 1000 = せん(se nn), 10,000=いちまん(i ti ma nn)

SFromA Level 3

Let’s keep going !!
Yellow highlights are connection words.

The Promised Neverland can learn a lot of Japanese. Because it is Japanese! It is an easy way to learn Japanese.

First one is from Norman.

  • Judging from those words, age probably equals the grade of meat.
    あのことばからさっする、ねんれいイコールランク。
    (a no ko to ba ka ra sa ssu ru ni, ne nn re i i ko – ru ra nn ku)
達磨
達磨

I know what do you want to ask me lol

You want to ask why “equal” and “grade of meat” is katakana.

It is easy answer that when Japanese use katakana, the words means same pronounce with English.

For example, Equal = イコール = i ko-ru
grade of meat = ランク= ra nn ku = Rank

One more things.

Japanese is difficult about connection words.
Most Japanese can’t explain what and how to put connection words in sentences, but they can use it… WHY?
Because Japanese talk and listen to Japanese every day, so they can understand what is correct. Thus, you need to practice.

If you can understand Japanese, you will be able to see the anime from other aspects.

Let’s keep going studying.

  • So, Ray, you’re one who has to give up.
    だからレイおれて。
    (da ka ra ray ga o re te.)
    Stop jabbering around and help us!
    ごちゃごちゃいわずちからかして。
    (go cha go cha i wa zu ni ti ka ra ka shi te)
達磨
達磨

So, = だから(da ka ra)
The connection words use a lot in life!!!
Try to remeber first, and try to use it !!

Give up = おれて(o re te )but… Actually, when Japanese say “give up”, we say あきらめる(a ki ra me ru)
It is a difficult part. だからJust know how different Japanese past words and present word.

For example, give up.
give up = あきらめる(a ki ra me ru) or おれる(o re ru)
gave up = あきらめた(a ki ra me ta) or おれた(o re ta)

Some Japanese verbs just change one letter, and the words and sentences mean past. It is hard to recognize it, so you need to practice it.

Hot to practice???

Easy. Watch the Anime. No Anime. No Life.

See you next SFromA!!!

↓↓Just memorize this word↓↓

What do you think?
どうおもう?(do u o mo u ?)

You can move to another Anime from here!
